There was once a man who had an encounter with God. God told him to pick up a rock, place it in his wheel barrel and carry it up the hill. The rock was very small and seemed to be an easy task. Therefore the man did as God commanded and began to climb the hill.
As he climbed the hill, he came to a village. He told his story about God commanding him to carry his rock up the hill. One of the villagers asked if he could carry his rook up the hill too. The man thought it was an easy task and agreed to carry his rock as well.
The man continued up the hill. As he went through each village there was a person who requested he carry their rock up the hill for them. Each time, the man agreed.
Soon the man’s wheel barrel was loaded with rocks. The wheel barrel became very heavy and burdensome. The man sat down to cry.
He yelled at God, “God, the burden you gave me is too great!”
God replied, “I didn’t request you to carry everyone else’s burden. The only burden I requested you to carry is a light burden. You took it upon yourself to carry the rest.”
The man unloaded all the other rocks and only keep the rock God commanded him to bear. The rest of his journey was easily completed.
Are you carrying the burden of others? Who’s rocks have you picked up along the way? Tonight we will be discussing this topic on on how to unload everyone else’s burdens from your wheel barrel in our free Teleclass tonight at 7:30PM CST.
